Hero Vida VX2 coming 1 July  New model or rebadge Hero MotoCorp dropped prices and added more affordable versions of its Vida electric scooters and the results were huge. In April 2025, sales skyrocketed, increasing by a huge 540% compared to April 2024. The number of units sold soared from only 956 last year to 6,123 this year. That kind of growth helped Vida climb up the charts and become the 5th top-selling electric two-wheeler brand in India. The strategy clearly worked, showing that better pricing and more options can seriously boost numbers in the growing EV market. Hero’s making big moves in the electric game.

Hero Vida VX2  What’s coming next

To keep the momentum going, Hero is planning to launch several new electric vehicles. One of these is the Vida VX2, which is set to be launched on 1st July.

Earlier this year, Hero MotoCorp revealed a new motorcycle named Vida Z at the Bharat Mobility Expo. This bike was originally launched at the EICMA 2024 show.

Interestingly, while the Vida Z has been officially revealed and test vehicles have already been spotted, there has been no such information or sightings regarding the Vida VX2. This gives rise to the possibility that the Vida Z could be launched in India under the name Vida VX2. Meanwhile, the trademarked name “Vida Z” might be reserved for a different upcoming product in Hero MotoCorp’s future EV lineup.

In short, the scooter being introduced as Vida VX2 could essentially be the Vida Z, just rebranded for the Indian market.                                                          👉   Yamaha RX100 coming

 Vida VX2 Performance, Range, Specifications

Hero MotoCorp hasn’t dropped any official specs on the upcoming Vida VX2 electric scooter yet. But, if we reckon the Vida VX2 is just a rehashed Vida Z, the entry-level version might pack a single 2.2 kWh battery. The premium model could boast dual battery packs, hitting around 3.4 kWh total capacity. It’s likely to deliver a riding range exceeding 100 km on a full charge. Similar to the Vida V2, the Vida Z (and potentially VX2) will sport detachable battery packs, making recharging a breeze for riders. Enthusiasts can anticipate solid performance and practical functionality.
Compared to the modern-looking Vida V2, the Vida Z features a simple, family-friendly design. Its overall style is closer to popular petrol scooters like Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter, known for high sales. Key features include a rectangular headlamp, TFT display, USB charging port, front storage space, rear backrest, and connectivity options, making it practical and comfortable for everyday use.
