TVS Motor Company has introduced its most potent scooter yet, the Ntorq 150, hitting the Indian market with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.19 lakh for the base variant, while the premium TFT version is priced at Rs. 1.29 lakh. This makes it a compelling option, undercutting competitors like the Yamaha Aerox and Hero Xoom 160 by approximately Rs. 30,000. Packed with cutting-edge features and a bold design, this maxi scooter is engineered to deliver a thrilling ride while maintaining practicality for daily use.

Powerhouse Performance

The Ntorq 150 is powered by a newly developed 149.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine equipped with fuel injection and TVSโ€™ innovative O3C oil-cooling technology. This dynamic powertrain churns out an impressive 13.2 PS of peak power at 7,000 rpm and delivers 14.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. According to TVS, the scooter can sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 104 kmph, making it a standout in its segment. With a lightweight build of 115 kgโ€”slightly lighter than its sibling, the Ntorq 125โ€”and a 5.8-litre fuel tank, it strikes a balance between agility and efficiency.

Design and Styling That Turns Heads

The front fascia features striking quad LED projector headlamps, complemented by sharp LED daytime running lights and LED turn indicators. The redesigned LED tail lamp, split grab rails, and aerodynamic winglets enhance its bold look. A sporty stubby muffler, vibrant colored alloy wheels, and a 3D logo add to its distinctive character. Available in four eye-catching color optionsโ€”Turbo Blue, Racing Red, Nitro Green, and Stealth Silver the Ntorq 150 is designed to make a statement on the road.

Advanced Features and Technology

The Ntorq 150 comes in two variants, both loaded with modern features. Standard across both are Street and Race ride modes, TVS iGo Assist, traction control, adjustable brake levers, and a single-channel ABS system for enhanced safety. The premium TFT variant sports a vibrant 5-inch high-resolution TFT display with 4-way navigation switches borrowed from the Apache 310 series, offering features like eSIM connectivity, custom widgets, and an emergency stop signal. The base model features a hybrid TFT + LCD display but misses out on some of the premium functionalities.

Additional highlights include a โ€œfollow-meโ€ headlight function, hazard lamps, a boot lamp, rear vents, and TVSโ€™ SmartXonnect system for seamless smartphone integration. The scooter also offers 22 liters of underseat storage, a longer 765 mm seat for added comfort, and a new handlebar design for a more relaxed riding posture compared to the Ntorq 125.

Ride and Handling

The Ntorq 150 is built for responsive handling, riding on 12-inch tubeless tires (100/80 front and 110/80 rear). Braking is managed by a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum, ensuring confident stopping power. The suspension setup includes telescopic forks with hydraulic dampers at the front and a coil spring with hydraulic damping at the rear, offering a smooth and controlled ride. With a ground clearance of 155 mm, a seat height of 770 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,285 mm, the scooter is designed for both urban agility and highway stability.

Dimensions and Practicality

  • Length x Width x Height: 1861 x 740 x 1120 mm
  • Wheelbase: 1285 mm
  • Ground Clearance: 155 mm
  • Seat Height: 770 mm
  • Seat Length: 765 mm
