Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to roll out its premium adventure scooter, the Xoom 160, to customers across India this month. Unveiled globally at EICMA 2024 in Milan and later showcased in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi, this flagship model has generated buzz with its bold styling and robust features. Priced at Rs. 1,48,500 (ex-showroom), the Xoom 160 was initially slated for deliveries shortly after its launch but is now ready to reach eager buyers.

Power-Packed Performance

The Xoom 160 is driven by a brand-new 156 cc single-cylinder engine, featuring fuel injection and liquid cooling for optimal efficiency. This powerhouse delivers 14.6 horsepower and 14 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth CVT transmission, ensuring a dynamic riding experience tailored for urban and open-road adventures.

Cutting-Edge Features

Designed to stand out, the Xoom 160 boasts a fully digital dashboard with navigation support, full LED lighting for enhanced visibility, and keyless ignition for convenience. Safety is prioritized with a single-channel ABS system paired with a front disc brake, complemented by a rear drum brake. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, supported by telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers for a balanced and comfortable ride.

Rugged Design and Practicality

With a striking maxi-scooter aesthetic, the Xoom 160 features a high windscreen, bold block-pattern tyres, and sharp body panels that exude a rugged charm. Weighing 142 kg with a seat height of 787 mm, it offers a commanding yet accessible riding position. Practical elements include a 7-litre fuel tank, delivering an impressive 40 kmpl as per ARAI standards, and generous underseat storage with an integrated light for added utility.

Variants and Color Choices

Available in a single ZX variant, the Xoom 160 lets riders choose from four vibrant color options: Matte Rainforest Green, Matte Volcanic Grey, Summit White, and Canyon Red, ensuring a style statement for every preference.

The Xoom 160 goes head-to-head with rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the newly introduced TVS Ntorq 150, priced at Rs. 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) for its base model. As Heroโ€™s most feature-rich and largest scooter to date, it combines muscular design with practical performance, making it a strong contender in the premium scooter market.

With deliveries kicking off, the Hero Xoom 160 is set to redefine adventure scooting in India, blending style, power, and functionality for riders seeking a thrilling yet practical ride.
