Tata Motors is bringing back the iconic Sierra after a long 20-year break, packed with innovative features that set it apart in its class. One standout highlight is the dedicated touchscreen for the front passenger, a first-of-its-kind addition that’s sure to turn heads and challenge rivals like the popular Hyundai Creta.

Cutting-Edge Digital Interface Takes Center Stage

In line with Tata’s aggressive shift toward advanced tech integration, the redesigned Sierra boasts a sleek dashboard featuring three independent screens. Positioned side by side, these include a driver’s instrument panel on the right, a central infotainment system, and a unique left-side display exclusively for the co-driver. This setup breaks new ground, as no other vehicle in this category provides such a personalized screen for the passenger.

Screen Sizes and Design Details Revealed

From the teaser footage, it looks like both the middle and passenger-side screens measure around 12.3 inches, while the driver’s display clocks in at no less than 10.25 inches. Although framed together for a unified look, the visible separations between the panels prevent a fully integrated, one-piece appearance.

Enhanced Passenger Experience Through Smart Features

The co-driver’s touchscreen opens up a world of entertainment and control options, from watching videos and managing audio to handling maps, climate settings, and even gaming. It can also link up with the main screen to create immersive visual environments, perfect for unwinding during extended drives.

Balancing Tech with Practical Controls

Tata hasn’t gone overboard by digitizing everythingโ€”key everyday functions remain user-friendly and analog-style. A physical climate control unit sits prominently in the lower dashboard for quick, distraction-free adjustments. The steering wheel includes tactile buttons and a glowing Tata emblem for added flair.

Additional Premium Amenities and Safety Upgrades

Beyond the screens, the refreshed Sierra promises a host of upscale elements like stylish 18-inch wheels, an automatic tailgate, a massive panoramic roof, cooled front seats with electric driver’s adjustment, adjustable back seats, sophisticated Level 2 driver aids, all-around disc brakes, and a full suite of six airbags. Powertrain options are expected to include a fresh 1.5-liter gasoline engine in standard and boosted forms, alongside a 1.5-liter diesel with turbo.

Performance Specs and Gearbox Options

The gasoline variant could deliver as much as 168 horsepower and 280 Nm of pull, whereas the diesel might offer 116 horsepower and 260 Nm. Transmission choices likely feature a six-speed stick shift or a smooth seven-speed dual-clutch auto.

Launch Timeline and Electric Variant Teased

Mark your calendarsโ€”Tata plans to roll out the standard Sierra on November 25, followed by an all-electric Sierra.ev in December. The EV version stands out further, potentially including all-wheel drive, unlike its combustion-engine sibling.
