Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Renault are gearing up to roll out brand-new mid-size sport utility vehicles in India over the next three months. This crowded category is about to get even more exciting with these confirmed arrivals from leading automakers.

1. Mahindra XEV 9S

Mahindra will unveil the XEV 9S on November 27 during its “Scream Electric” showcase in Bengaluru. This marks the company’s inaugural fully electric seven-seat crossover designed from scratch on the INGLO modular base. Early previews highlight a seamless LED strip across the front, the signature Twin Peaks emblem, and bold styling that positions it as a true range-topper.

Drivers can look forward to more than 500 kilometers of driving distance on a single charge, two-way power transfer capability, plus a luxurious interior featuring three digital displays, a wide glass roof, and Level 2 driver assistance systems. The model draws direct inspiration from the XUV.e8 show car.

2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

The e Vitara represents Maruti Suzuki’s entry into the electric crossover space and plays a central role in its worldwide battery-powered vehicle plans. Constructed on a specialized EV framework jointly created with Toyota, it offers dual battery choices where the premium variant should exceed 500 kilometers of travel per charge. As a five-passenger option, it targets buyers in India as well as overseas regions, with an official reveal scheduled for December.

3. Next-Generation Renault Duster

Renault is bringing back the Duster badge to Indian roads with an all-new look and underlying structure. Riding on the CMF-B foundation, this refreshed utility vehicle delivers enhanced exterior dimensions, greater room inside, and updated engine lineup that may include a turbocharged gasoline unit alongside a future hybrid setup. Expect a feature-rich cockpit complete with an oversized touchscreen, smart connectivity, and modern protection technologies.

4. Revived Tata Sierra

Tata Motors resurrects the legendary Sierra nameplate with a launch set for November 25. It slots neatly between the Curvv and Harrier models in the brand’s portfolio, available in both battery-electric and traditional fuel variants. The gasoline-powered edition employs Tata’s 1.5-liter forced-induction engine delivering roughly 168 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of twist. The pure-electric counterpart promises over 500 kilometers of range. The combustion model hits showrooms first, while the zero-emission one follows in early 2026.
