Hero MotoCorp has recently launched the new Glamour X, and it is safe to say this is not just another commuter motorcycle. With a strong mix of technology, comfort, and performance, the Glamour X clearly aims to be the most feature-loaded 125cc bike on Indian roads.
Engine & Performance
At the heart of the Glamour X sits a 124.7cc air-cooled engine that is borrowed from the Xtreme 125R. The motor delivers 11.5 PS of power at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. What really impresses is the refinement โ the bike feels smooth across the rev range, especially between 50 km/h to 80 km/h, which is its natural cruising zone. Even when pushed hard, it easily touches a top speed of over 105 km/h without feeling stressed.
Ride Comfort & Handling
The ergonomics of the Glamour X are well thought out. A wide handlebar, along with a nicely contoured fuel tank, ensures a confident riding stance. The bike runs on 18-inch alloy wheels with 80/100 section tyre at the front and 100/80 at the rear, giving it good grip and stability.
Suspension duties are handled by 30mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with 5-step preload adjustability. The setup is tuned for comfort, soaking up potholes and rough patches easily, while still offering stability at higher speeds โ especially above 80 km/h.
Braking & Safety
Braking power comes from a 240mm front disc combined with a rear drum brake. While ABS is not offered (reserved only for the Xtreme 125R), the Glamour X comes with CBS (Combined Braking System), which works well in day-to-day riding. Hero has also added safety-oriented features such as a panic brake alert, giving riders extra confidence on the road.
Technology & Features
This is where the Glamour X truly stands apart. It comes with segment-first features like:
- Cruise control
- Ride-by-wire throttle
- Three riding modes โ Eco, Power, and Road
- TFT display with Bluetooth & turn-by-turn navigation
- USB Type-C charging port
Comfort & Practicality
The seat offers good comfort for daily rides, but during longer journeys, it does start to feel a little firm. Still, for city use and short highway trips, it serves the purpose well.
Mileage Test
In our real-world test, the Glamour X delivered an impressive 55.47 km/l. We rode 121.5 km in one stretch, and by the end of the day, the trip meter had clocked 354 km. The mileage figures were achieved while riding steadily at 65โ70 km/h on highways. Heroโs i3S start-stop technology didnโt play a big role during highway runs, but in city conditions, it can further improve fuel efficiency.

Verdict
The Hero Glamour X combines modern technology, refined performance, and strong fuel efficiency in one package. With features like cruise control, ride-by-wire, and a full TFT console, it feels like the most futuristic 125cc motorcycle in its category. While the seat comfort could have been better for long-distance touring, the overall package makes it one of the most attractive options in the commuter premium segment.
