Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) closed October 2025 on a highly positive note as the company reported strong domestic sales driven by festive demand, improved buyer sentiment, and market stability after the GST 2.0 reforms. Several key Honda models performed exceptionally well, led by the ever-popular Activa, Shine series, and Dio, which together contributed over 85% of Hondaโ€™s total sales.

In a major achievement, Honda also crossed 3.5 crore (35 million) cumulative sales for the Activa lineup (Activa 110, Active 125, Active-i), making it the best-selling scooter series in Indiaโ€™s history.

Hondaโ€™s Overall Performance in October 2025

Honda registered 5,98,946 units in domestic sales during October 2025, marking a 9.11% year-on-year growth over the 5,48,960 units sold in the same month last year. This translates to a volume increase of 49,986 units, reflecting strong festive season demand.

Honda Active Dominates the Market

The Honda Activa continued its unmatched dominance:

  • Units sold: 3,26,551
  • YoY Growth: 22.39%
  • Share in Hondaโ€™s sales: 54.52%

With more than half of Hondaโ€™s monthly sales coming from the Active alone, its leadership position in the scooter segment remains unchallenged.

Shine Series Sees a Dip, Doi Shows Growth

Shine 125 & SP125 (Combined)

  • Sales: 1,44,372 units
  • YoY Decline: -8.90%

Despite being Hondaโ€™s second-largest contributor, the Shine 125 and SP125 reported a drop in sales compared to last year.

Honda Dio

  • Sales: 36,340 units
  • YoY Growth: 9.53%

The Dio scooter witnessed renewed interest, aided by fresh styling and strong demand among young buyers.

Mid-Segment Models: Mixed Performance

Honda Unicorn

  • Sales: 32,825 units
  • Growth: 3.33%
The Unicorn continued to attract steady buyers, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Shine 100

  • YoY Decline: -20.03%
The recent competition in the 100cc segment impacted Shine 100โ€™s performance.

Hornet 125 Debut

A strong entry for the new Hornet 125, contributing notably in its first months.
