Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) delivered an outstanding performance in August 2025, recording a total of 60,501 vehicles sold. This figure includes 44,001 units sold within India and 16,500 units shipped to international markets. The export segment shone brightly, posting a 21% year-on-year increase, solidifying Hyundaiโs position as Indiaโs top automotive exporter. From January to August 2025, Hyundai exported 1,18,840 vehicles, reinforcing Indiaโs role as a pivotal manufacturing and export hub for the South Korean automaker globally.
The domestic market also played a significant role, with 44,001 units sold in August. Hyundaiโs diverse lineup, including hatchbacks, sedans, and SUVs, has fueled a strong recovery in a fiercely competitive market. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer at HMIL, highlighted the companyโs dedication to its โMake in Indiaโ initiative. He emphasized that India is rapidly becoming Hyundaiโs largest export hub outside South Korea, with the 2025 performance underscoring the success of this strategy. Hyundai is poised to capitalize on this momentum during the upcoming festive season, with a major product launch on the horizon.
Third-Generation Venue: A Bold Refresh
Hyundai is gearing up to unveil the third-generation Venue, a compact SUV that promises a striking evolution in design while retaining its compact footprint. Drawing inspiration from larger SUVs like the Creta and Alcazar, the new Venue will feature a more commanding, upright front fascia. Key exterior updates include vertically stacked headlights, a redesigned grille, and sleek daytime running lights (DRLs). The SUV will also sport refreshed body panels, new alloy wheels, a restyled rear bumper, an updated tailgate, modernized tail lamps, and a revamped spoiler.
Mechanically, Hyundai is expected to retain the reliable powertrain options from the current model, ensuring continuity in performance and efficiency. Inside, the Venue is set for a significant overhaul, with a larger infotainment display, a dual-pane sunroof, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance its feature set. The cabin will also feature a redesigned dashboard, an updated center console, and fresh upholstery, offering a premium and modern driving experience.
