Mahindra, a leading Indian automotive manufacturer, has reported outstanding sales figures for September 2025, showcasing robust growth across its vehicle lineup. The companyโs domestic SUV sales reached an impressive 56,233 units, marking a significant 10% increase compared to September 2024. This surge highlights Mahindraโs strong foothold in the Indian market, driven by its popular utility vehicles and strategic pricing initiatives.
Year-to-Date Performance Shows Steady Growth
From April to September 2025, Mahindraโs cumulative SUV sales soared to 297,570 units, reflecting a healthy 14% growth over the same period in the previous fiscal year. This consistent upward trend underscores the brandโs ability to resonate with Indian consumers, particularly during the festive season, which has historically boosted vehicle sales.
Commercial Vehicles: A Mixed Yet Promising Picture
Mahindraโs commercial vehicle segment displayed varied performance. Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) under two tonnes saw a slight dip of 2%, with 3,386 units sold in September 2025. In contrast, the 2 to 3.5-tonne category performed exceptionally well, surging by 21% to 23,342 units. Over the six-month period, smaller LCVs experienced a 12% decline, while the larger segment grew by 12%, reaching a total of 114,176 units.
The three-wheeler segment, including electric models, emerged as a standout performer. Sales in this category climbed by 30% in September, totaling 13,017 units. For the year-to-date, three-wheeler sales grew by an impressive 32%, reaching 53,578 units, further solidifying Mahindraโs dominance in this space.
Exports Surge, Boosting Global Presence
Mahindraโs export performance was equally remarkable, with overseas shipments rising by 43% in September 2025 to 4,320 units. For the April to September period, cumulative exports reached 20,303 units, a 38% increase from the 14,680 units recorded in the same timeframe last year. This growth reflects Mahindraโs expanding global footprint and increasing demand for its vehicles in international markets.
