Mahindra XUV 7XO

Mahindra has just pulled the wraps off the thoroughly revamped XUV 7XO, a major upgrade to the popular XUV700. This new model introduces a sharper design, a packed feature list, and a fresh naming structure. Let’s break down what each version offers and when you can get your hands on one.

Getting Started: Pricing and Key Dates

The XUV 7XO lineup begins at an introductory price of Rs. 13.66 lakh for the most basic AX model, going all the way up to Rs. 24.11 lakh for the fully-loaded flagship. You can officially reserve your vehicle starting January 14, 2026.

An interesting point about deliveries is that Mahindra is prioritizing the higher-spec models first. If you order the AX7, AX7T, or the top-tier AX7L, you could be driving it home as early as the middle of January 2026. For the more affordable AX, AX3, and AX5 trims, you’ll need to wait a bit longer, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin from April 2026.

What Powers the XUV 7XO?

Under the hood, Mahindra is using its trusted turbocharged engines. You have the choice between a spirited 2.0-litre petrol unit (200 bhp) and a torquey 2.2-litre diesel engine. The diesel can be configured with an All-Wheel Drive system for those who need extra traction, though this is an additional-cost option. Both 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes are available across the range.

A Tech Cockpit Like No Other

One of the biggest talking points is the dashboard. The XUV 7XO is the first non-electric SUV in the country to feature a full-width triple-screen setup for the driver and front passenger. This high-tech display is powered by advanced ADRENOX+ software, ensuring smooth and responsive graphics. To further enhance the driving experience, Mahindra has introduced a new DAVINCI suspension system, engineered to deliver superior comfort and stability on all kinds of roads.

Variant-by-Variant Feature Breakdown

  • XUV 7XO AX (The Entry Point): Don’t let the ‘base’ tag fool you. Even this model comes loaded. You get the signature triple-screen display, wireless smartphone connectivity for Android and Apple, the AdrenoX connected suite with Alexa and ChatGPT integration, and six airbags for safety. Key comforts include cruise control, smart door handles, multi-zone AC vents, and fast-charging USB ports for all rows.
  • XUV 7XO AX3 (Adds Practicality): Building on the AX, this trim introduces useful additions like a rear wiper and washer, auto-folding power-adjustable mirrors, a rearview camera with guiding lines, and a rear window demister.

The AX7 features leatherette upholstery on seats and the dashboard, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, and larger 18-inch diamond-cut alloys. Safety is boosted with a 540-degree camera system and blind-spot monitoring.
  • XUV 7XO AX7 Tech (The Intelligent Choice): As the name suggests, this pack is for tech enthusiasts. It adds a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite for assisted driving, a breathtaking 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, an extra knee airbag, and a front wireless charger that stays cool.
  • XUV 7XO AX7 Luxury / AX7L (The Ultimate Flagship): This is the pinnacle of the range. It rides on imposing 19-inch alloy wheels and pampers every occupant. It includes a power-adjustable front passenger seat, lavish ‘Boss Mode’ controls for a rear passenger with ventilated seats and sunblinds, multi-zone ambient lighting, and a rear wireless charger. The entertainment experience is taken further with Dolby Vision support for stunning visuals to match the immersive audio.
