Maruti Suzuki, Indiaโs leading car manufacturer, is gearing up to strengthen its SUV lineup with the introduction of two high-end midsize SUVs this financial year. With an aggressive push into the SUV market, the company has transformed its portfolio from just two models a few years ago to a robust lineup that now includes the Brezza, Grand Vitara, Fronx, and Jimny. The two upcoming models, slated for a potential launch between October and December 2025, will further elevate Marutiโs presence in the competitive SUV segment. One will be available through Arena dealerships, while the other will be sold via Nexa showrooms. Hereโs an exclusive look at these exciting new offerings.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: A Bold Contender in the Midsize SUV Arena
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris is designed to take on rivals like the Hyundai Creta, offering a compelling package at a starting price expected to be significantly below โน10 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings have already begun at Arena dealerships with a token amount of โน10,000.
In terms of dimensions, the Victoris is slightly larger than the Grand Vitara, measuring 15 mm longer and 10 mm taller, while maintaining an identical width of 1,795 mm and a 2,600 mm wheelbase. Its design embraces subtlety with a compact grille, conventional headlamps, and minimal chrome accents, except for a striking full-width tail light that adds a touch of flair.
The interior of the Victoris is a significant leap forward, boasting a modern dashboard with integrated ambient lighting, updated switchgear, and cutting-edge technology. It features a 10.25-inch digital driverโs display and a 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen infotainment system. Other highlights include a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, an 8-way electrically adjustable and ventilated driverโs seat, a ventilated front passenger seat, six airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), an electronic parking brake, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced safety and convenience.

The Victoris will offer the same powertrain options as the Grand Vitara, including a mild-hybrid petrol engine, a strong-hybrid petrol engine, and a bi-fuel petrol-CNG option. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and an e-CVT for the strong-hybrid variant. An all-wheel-drive system is available on the mild-hybrid petrol variant with the 5-speed manual transmission, making it a versatile choice for varied driving conditions.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Pioneering Electric Mobility
Marking Maruti Suzukiโs bold entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market, the e-Vitara is set to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV. Exclusively available through Nexa dealerships, this EV combines a rugged exterior with a refined interior, aligning with Suzukiโs global design ethos.
The e-Vitara stands out with features like 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-way power-adjustable driverโs seat, 40:20:40-split rear seats with sliding and reclining functionality, a premium 10-speaker Infinity sound system, and seven airbags for top-tier safety. It will be offered in two variants: a standard-range model with a 49 kWh LFP battery pack and an extended-range version with a 61 kWh LFP battery pack. Both variants feature an AC synchronous motor, delivering 142 hp and 192.5 Nm of torque in the standard model, and 172 hp with the same torque in the extended-range version. The standard-range variant is expected to offer a driving range of approximately 400 km, while the extended-range model will exceed 500 km, making it a strong contender in the EV space.
