Maruti Suzuki India has just dropped its Q2 FY2025-26 numbers, and the headline is massive: the company shipped a record-breaking 110,487 vehicles overseas in a single quarterโthe highest ever in its history, marking a blistering 42.2% jump compared to the same period last year.
Exports Outshine Domestic Sales Amid Festive Caution
While Indian buyers held back slightly due to upcoming GST-driven price changes announced in late September, Marutiโs global push more than compensated. Local dispatches dipped 5.1% to 440,387 units, but total quarterly volume still climbed 1.7% to 550,874 units, thanks to roaring international demand.
The Indo-Japanese giant posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue at โน401,359 crore, up from โน355,891 crore last year. Net profit also grew 7.3% to โน3,293 crore, proving strong profitability even in a cautious home market.
Half-Year Performance Sets New Benchmarks
Looking at the first six months of FY2025-26, Maruti moved 10.78 lakh vehicles in totalโ8.71 lakh domestically and a historic 2.07 lakh units exported, making it the best half-year export performance ever recorded by the brand.
Revenue for the half-year soared to โน767,606 crore, with net profit hitting โน7,004 croreโboth fresh all-time highs for the company.
Production Ramped Up for Festive Rush
To gear up for the upcoming festive season, Maruti Suzuki increased output across its manufacturing facilities, ensuring ample stock at dealerships nationwide. This strategic move aims to capture peak demand during Diwali and beyond.

Adding to the momentum, Maruti began exporting the e Vitara electric SUV from its Gujarat facility. Over 6,000 units were dispatched in August and September alone, targeting premium markets like the United Kingdom and Europe.
Built on the all-new Heartect-e platform, the e Vitara will launch in India soon with two battery options, both promising over 500 km of range per charge. A twin model, the Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV, will follow under the ongoing Maruti-Toyota partnership.
With exports now a core growth engine, Maruti Suzuki is not just dominating Indian roadsโit’s conquering the world, one shipment at a time.
