Classic Legends, the maker of Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles, has rolled out significant price reductions across its entire lineup, making these iconic bikes more affordable than ever. The price drops are a direct result of the GST 2.0 reforms, which slashed the tax rate on motorcycles with engines up to 350 cc from 28% to 18%. The company has passed on the full tax benefit to customers, ensuring that nearly all models now cost less than Rs 2 lakh, a key price point for Indian buyers.
Jawa Models See Major Savings
The Jawa range has witnessed substantial price reductions, with cuts ranging from Rs 13,500 to nearly Rs 17,000. The entry-level Jawa 42, for example, now starts at an attractive Rs 1.59 lakh, down from its earlier price of Rs 1.72 lakh, offering savings of Rs 13,511. The Jawa 350, a popular choice among retro bike enthusiasts, has become even more accessible with a price reduction of Rs 15,543, bringing its new price to Rs 1.83 lakh.
Premium models like the Jawa 42 Bobber and Jawa 42 T have also become more affordable, each now priced at Rs 1.93 lakh after a reduction of over Rs 16,000. The Jawa Perak, which previously carried a price tag of Rs 2.16 lakh, has seen the largest cut of Rs 16,930, making it available for just Rs 1.99 lakh, slipping under the crucial Rs 2 lakh mark.
Yezdi Lineup Gets a Price Boost
The Yezdi range has also benefited significantly from the GST 2.0 changes. The Yezdi Roadster, known for its bold styling and performance, now costs Rs 1.93 lakh after a price cut of Rs 16,404. Similarly, the Yezdi Adventure, a favorite among off-road enthusiasts, has dropped from Rs 2.14 lakh to Rs 1.98 lakh, offering savings of Rs 16,789. The Yezdi Scrambler, another versatile model, is now priced at Rs 1.95 lakh, thanks to a reduction of Rs 16,555. These price adjustments position all three Yezdi models comfortably below Rs 2 lakh, making them highly competitive in the middleweight motorcycle segment.
Additional Benefits for Buyers
Beyond the price cuts, Classic Legends has reaffirmed its commitment to customer satisfaction. All Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles come with a standard warranty of 4 years or 50,000 km, which can be extended to six years. The company also offers roadside assistance and has reduced the cost of spare parts and servicing, thanks to the GST-linked savings. These added benefits make owning a Jawa or Yezdi motorcycle even more appealing.
Impact of GST 2.0 on the Two-Wheeler Market
The GST 2.0 reforms have transformed the Indian two-wheeler market by reducing taxes on motorcycles and scooters with engines up to 350 cc by 10%. This change has made bikes more affordable for nearly 98% of buyers, just in time for the festive season. However, the reforms also introduced a higher 40% GST slab for motorcycles above 350 cc, which has increased the prices of larger bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Interceptor 650, KTM 390 Duke, and Triumph 400 models.

With festive season demand on the rise, these price cuts are likely to attract a surge of new customers looking for style, performance, and value.
