Tata Motors achieved a strong showing in the Indian market during October 2025, selling a total of 61,134 vehicles. This marked a significant increase from the 48,133 units moved in the same month the previous year, reflecting a healthy 27 percent rise. As a result, the company secured the third spot among automakers, capturing more than 13 percent of the overall market. Key contributors to this success included steady demand for popular models like the Nexon and Punch, along with notable boosts from options such as the Tiago and Harrier.

On a monthly comparison, sales edged up by 2 percent from September 2025. The Nexon stood out as the top performer, with 22,083 units dispatched. That figure represented a robust 50 percent growth over the 14,759 vehicles sold in October 2024. However, it experienced a minor 2 percent dip from the 22,573 units recorded the prior month.

Standout Models Driving Growth

The Punch maintained its momentum, registering 16,810 sales in October 2025. This was an improvement from 15,740 units a year earlier, equating to a 7 percent uptick. Additionally, it showed a solid 6 percent advance compared to September’s 15,891 deliveries. The Tiago hatchback delivered one of the most remarkable leaps, nearly doubling its output to 8,850 units from 4,682 in the previous October, for an 89 percent surge.

Month-over-month, the Tiago also advanced by 6 percent from September’s 8,322 units. Meanwhile, the Altroz compact car contributed 3,770 sales, up 43 percent from 2,642 units the year before. Despite this annual gain, it saw a 10 percent decline from September’s 4,168 figures. The recent updates to its design have clearly played a role in enhancing its appeal.

Mixed Results from Other Lineup Members

The Tigor sedan added 1,196 units to the tally, rising from 926 in October 2024 for a 29 percent improvement. It also performed well sequentially, growing 24 percent over September’s 966 sales, positioning it as a strong monthly gainer. On the flip side, the Curvv faced challenges, with just 1,432 units sold. This was a sharp drop from 5,351 the prior year, resulting in a 73 percent decline.

Even relative to September’s 1,566 units, it fell by 9 percent. In a positive turnaround, the Harrier SUV surged to 4,483 deliveries from 1,947 a year ago, achieving a dramatic 130 percent increase. Sequentially, it rose 7 percent above September’s 4,181 units. The Safari also added value, climbing to 2,510 sales from 2,086 in October 2024, for a 20 percent gain.
