Skoda Auto India has concluded the July-September 2025 quarter with an extraordinary performance, achieving 17,161 unit sales and more than doubling its sales compared to the same period last year. The company also recorded a remarkable 6,636 units sold in September 2025 alone, marking an impressive 101 percent growth over September 2024. This surge has solidified Skodaโs position as a formidable player in the Indian automotive market.
Kylaq Fuels Unprecedented Growth
The standout performer in Skodaโs lineup is the Kylaq, the brandโs most affordable offering, which entered the competitive compact SUV segment in December 2024. Since its launch, the Kylaq has driven massive demand, contributing to over 34,500 units sold and propelling Skodaโs total sales to 53,355 units in the first nine months of 2025. Alongside the Kylaq, consistent demand for models like the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq has further bolstered the brandโs success.
Festive Season and Tax Reforms Boost Sales
The introduction of revised GST 2.0 tax slabs, combined with the festive seasonโs momentum, has significantly increased customer interest across Skodaโs 315 dealerships spanning 177 cities in India. To celebrate 25 years in the Indian market, Skoda introduced special anniversary editions of the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia, which have resonated strongly with buyers, driving higher footfalls and sales.
The revised GST structure has led to substantial price reductions across Skodaโs portfolio. The premium Kodiaq saw its price slashed by Rs. 3.30 lakh, with additional festive discounts and exchange offers totaling Rs. 2.50 lakh, resulting in a cumulative benefit of Rs. 5.80 lakh for buyers. The Kushaq benefited from a Rs. 66,000 price cut, supplemented by festive offers worth Rs. 2.50 lakh. The Kylaq itself received a significant price reduction of Rs. 1.19 lakh, while the Slavia sedan enjoyed a Rs. 63,000 price drop alongside festive perks, including exchange bonuses and corporate benefits, totaling Rs. 2.50 lakh. These attractive offers have made Skodaโs vehicles more accessible, further fueling demand.
Exciting New Launch on the Horizon
Adding to the excitement, Skoda is gearing up to launch the performance-oriented Octavia RS in India this month. This high-performance model will feature a powerful 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine delivering approximately 261 bhp. Imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the initial batch will be limited to just 100 units, making it a highly exclusive offering. The Octavia RS will also boast a range of mechanical enhancements designed to improve handling and deliver an exhilarating driving experience.
