The Indian electric scooter scene has just witnessed a monumental leap. Simple Energy, the Bengaluru-based innovator, has officially unveiled its next-generation lineup, crowned by the groundbreaking Simple Ultra. This machine shatters all previous records by claiming an IDC-certified range of a staggering 400 kilometers, setting a new national benchmark for electric two-wheeler endurance.

But the Ultra isn’t alone. Simple Energy has comprehensively revamped its entire portfolio, introducing the Gen 2 versions of the Simple One and Simple One S, each packed with significant upgrades.

The Range King: Simple Ultra Takes the Throne

Positioned as the new flagship, the Simple Ultra is engineered to obliterate range anxiety. At its heart lies a massive 6.5 kWh battery pack, the largest capacity ever fitted to an electric scooter in the country. This powerhouse enables its class-leading range claim.

Performance matches its long-distance prowess. According to company specifications, the Ultra can blast from a standstill to 40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds and achieve a top speed of 115 km/h. Simple Energy declares it the second-fastest electric scooter available in India. Bookings for this range champion are now live at the company’s official showrooms.

Riders will also appreciate a host of new practical features:

  • A handy 1-litre front glovebox with a dedicated charging port.
  • A fully redesigned digital dashboard and updated control switches.
  • Enhanced utility with expanded 35-litre underseat storage.
  • A more accessible 780 mm seat height for better ergonomics.

The scooters are loaded with premium technology including traction control, cruise control, and four-level regenerative braking.

Performance Specifications Across the Range

  • Simple One Gen 2 (4.5 kWh): 6.4 kW power, 52 Nm torque, 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds, top speed of 90 km/h.
  • Simple One Gen 2 (5 kWh): 8.8 kW power, 72 Nm torque, a scorching 0-40 km/h time of 2.55 seconds, and a top speed matching the Ultra at 115 km/h.

All variants come with six distinct riding modes, disc brakes with Combined Braking System (CBS), and robust connectivity.

Smart Tech and Unmatched Warranty

The Simple One Gen 2 sports a 7-inch touchscreen console, while the One S Gen 2 uses a non-touch display. Both are equipped with 5G e-SIM with LTE and Bluetooth, enabling features like:

  • Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.
  • Integrated navigation.
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
  • Park Assist and ‘Find My Vehicle’ functions.

Demonstrating strong confidence in its products, Simple Energy backs the motor and battery with a lifetime warranty, alongside extended coverage plans for the charger and the complete vehicle.
