The Maruti Suzuki Invicto, a premium three-row MPV, has achieved an impressive 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests conducted in July 2025. Scoring 30.43 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points for child occupant safety, the Invicto stands out as one of the safest vehicles in its segment. Tested in its Alpha+ (seven-seat) and Zeta+ (eight-seat) variants, the MPV showcases Maruti Suzukiโs commitment to safety and engineering excellence.
Exceptional Adult Occupant Protection
In the Bharat NCAP assessments, the Invicto demonstrated robust safety performance for adult occupants. It secured a near-perfect 30.43 out of 32 points, placing it among the top performers in recent tests. The MPV excelled in the frontal offset crash test, showcasing strong structural integrity and effective restraint systems. In the side impact test, it earned full marks, ensuring excellent protection for critical areas like the head, chest, and pelvis. The safety systems provided good coverage, even in high-impact zones, offering peace of mind for the driver and front passenger.
Top-Notch Child Safety
The Invictoโs child safety performance was equally impressive, scoring 45 out of 49 points. Using recommended child restraint systems, the MPV achieved a perfect 24 out of 24 in dynamic tests for 18-month-old and three-year-old dummies seated in rearward-facing seats. Installation checks for child seats earned a flawless 12 out of 12, while the vehicle assessment portion scored slightly lower but still reflected a high safety standard. ISOFIX anchors on the second-row outboard seats further enhance child safety, though they are not available in the third row.
Comprehensive Safety Features
Weighing 1,946 kg during testing, the Invicto comes equipped with a robust safety suite across all trims. Standard features include six airbags (front, side, and curtain) and side chest and pelvis airbags, though knee airbags are absent. Seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters are provided for front occupants, with three-point seatbelts and reminders for all seating positions. The MPV also includes electronic stability control, pedestrian protection systems, ABS with EBD, all-four disc brakes, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality.
Bharat NCAP Results and Industry Impact
The 5-star rating applies to the Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants, covering both seven- and eight-seater configurations with identical specifications.
